TORONTO, October 29, 2025 – Roots Outpost (1096 Yonge St.), a new pilot concept store by Roots, has opened its doors in Toronto’s Rosedale neighbourhood, paying homage to the brand’s legacy. The concept space celebrates 52 years of Roots quality and craftsmanship through meaningful storytelling, thoughtful design, and unique product offerings.
Decorated with archival black-and-white photos, heritage objects and contemporary Canadian art, combined with warm wood finishes, it’s a space that evokes a personal and authentic Roots experience.
Located on Yonge Street, Roots Outpost brings the brand back to the site of its original Roots store, which opened on August 15 1973, at 1052 Yonge Street. The return to the neighbourhood marks a meaningful continuation of the brand's story.

Every piece carries its own story, while together nod to local craftsmanship, extend the life of garments, and reduce textile waste.
The vintage Roots collections offer customers a new way to experience Roots history, giving future generations the chance to write the next chapter of a circular, responsible, and distinctly Canadian fashion future.
The store will also carry an assortment of local brands, hand-selected Roots apparel, and serve as a key location for community engagements.
Roots Outpost will provide learnings that can shape the brand’s approach in future markets, with a focus on engaging with local communities.
